The year is 1912. Titanic has hit her iceberg and sunk in the North Atlantic. Among those lost is the Right Honourable Nauticus Skellington, heir to Skellington Castle. Far away, on the Scottish Borders, Baron Cyrus Skellington is pushed from the castle battlements to certain death. The murderer must be one of those invited to dine in the reclusive Baron's Great Hall. But why did the usually inhospitable Baron decide to host a dinner party at his forbidding castle, and are the guests in danger?


Strange & spooky things are whispered to happen at Skellington Castle, it's in the interests of all at the Baron's dinner party (that's you and your guests) to discover the murderer's identity before an awful vengeance is unleashed.

This is an original murder mystery game supplied by email as ready to print Microsoft Word pdf files.  The immersive game has interesting plot lines to keep players guessing 'whodunit' right until the very end.  Running time is 1½ - 2 hours.


The files supplied will print character booklets for your guests, invitations, setup instructions, name tags, documents, various evidence, a choice of two murder confessions, and extras to help turn your murder venue into Skellington Castle.


You will need 65+ sheets of printer paper and a stapler.


The 6-10 characters:

Baroness Skellington (F): 

You've come a long way from performing operatic arias on the London stage. Now you are a Baroness with plenty of airs and graces, mixing with the social elite. Always dressed in the latest fashions, you make sure to always drink from your tea cup with the little finger raised. 

Zoe Zomere (F): 

Mysterious and unconventional, you are a clairvoyant with the power of the supernatural. Haunted by a fraught past, you live in a private world of half shadows that no one else can see. 

Ophelia Payne (F): 

A pillar of the community, you are also a busybody, keeping an eye on what is going on around you. People come to you to hear the latest Skellington gossip. 

Violetta Suflay (F): 

8-10 game

You are Professor at the Paris Sorbonne, surely one of the best universités in the world, n'est pas? What do these Engleesh and Scoteesh know of culture, with their damp spooky castles and bagpipes. And the food! Neaps and haggis?

Fester Enrott (M): 

You served Baron Skellington as his personal valet, butler and confidant. In fact so confident that you regularly helped yourself to fine wines and cigars from Skellington Castle's spooky cellar.

Rian Carnation (M): 

It isn't easy making money in the newly established Hollywood film industry. You have travelled all the way to Scotland to check out Skellington Castle for a possible future film set. The broody atmosphere of the place will look just fine in one of your action films. CUT!

Dr Hackencutt (M): 

A doctor trained in Edinburgh, there are plenty who prefer not to make use of your professional services. You have the reputation of being a slightly eccentric mad scientist.

Johnny Walker (M): 

8-10 game

A farmer working in the shadow of Skellington Castle, you will do whatever it takes to keep your farm going in these difficult times. And you know all too well its best to keep out of the way of 'them up at the castle.'

Two extra characters:

Owen Moore (M): 

As local pie makers, your family has lived in Skelldoon for generations. The recipe for your prize winning pie is a closely guarded secret which you will protect at any cost. No sassenach is going to get the Moore's pie recipe out of you!

Jacklyn Hyde (F): 

You are a sophisticated strong willed American woman, used to getting your own way. In the middle of a round the world cruise, you have taken a break to visit Skelldoon. But is it just the roamin' in the gloamin' and the skirl of the bagpipes that attracts you to Scotland?
